Mission:
To develop and sustain an intergenerational neighborhood for adoptive families of foster children that promotes permanency for children while offering meaningful purpose in the daily lives of older adults.
At Hope Village, families adopt children whose birth parents can no longer adequately care for them.
Philosophy:
Hope Village is a unique program that changes the lives of foster children, retirees, and families by creating a safe and nurturing neighborhood.
At Hope Village children, who might otherwise spend most of their childhoods in foster care are adopted.
At Hope Village, retirees maintain a meaningful productive life by helping younger generations, as well as one another.
Vision:
The focus of Hope Village will be to provide adoptive homes for hard to place foster children including teens, large sibling groups and those with special needs.
We plan to house 12 adoptive families who will adopt the children awaiting permanency. The families will provide permanent, loving adoptive homes for 24-48 children.
We will provide ongoing support to the families in their quest to provide for the emotional and physical needs of the children.
The community will include active senior citizens who will act as surrogate grandparents, thereby offering support to the families and children and in doing so find meaning and purpose in their retirement years.
We welcome diversity of the families, the children and the older adults.
